Important Note: If you created your Qube account before March 16, 2022, you may have some legacy "Merchant-Locked" Bill Qubes. Qube recommends that you 'upgrade' those immediately to avoid any service disruption. Follow the instructions at the bottom of this article to upgrade your qubes.
Overview
Bill Qubes are specific qubes for all your bills. They are different from Spend Qubes in that once you successfully set up a bill qube, you do not have to open your qube ahead of time in order for the transaction to process and the bill to be paid!
With a virtual bill qube, a unique virtual debit card number and unique account number will be generated specifically for each qube. Then, when paying your bill for a merchant, you'll use the unique card or account number associated with the qube you've made for that bill.
Example
You could create a "Power" bill qube. You'll have a unique debit card and unique account number generated solely for your Power bill qube. If your electric company only accepts ACH transfers from a bank account, you'll enter your unique Power bill qube "account" number into your electric company's website. If your electric company only accepts card payments, you'll enter your unique Power bill qube virtual card number into your electric company's website. Then, any transactions coming through using those unique account or card numbers will always be approved and taken from that specific qube. Amazing!
If you ever want to decline the charge from your electric company, you can pause your bill qube by clicking the name of the bill qube to enter the qube details screen, tapping the red envelope icon with the pause sign, and selecting Yes, Pause Payment. Repeat to un-pause.

Upgrading Legacy Merchant-Locked Bill Qubes
Merchant-locked bill qubes will not be supported in the future. Therefore, Qube recommends that you upgrade your merchant-locked bill qubes at the soonest. Upgrading is easy.
1. Identify any merchant-locked qubes on your Bills Home and go to Qube Details. A merchant-locked bill qube has a lock icon and a merchant name next to it.
2. From the qube details page, tap on the Info tab, scroll down and tap on Upgrade to Virtual Bill Qube.
3. Once upgraded, a new unique Virtual Card Number and Account Number will be generated specifically for that bill qube.
4. Finally, visit the merchant's website and update the payment info to match the new card/account info shown on the upgraded Virtual Bill Qube.
Skipping or forgetting this step could result in future charges being denied.
